In 2013, CFOX Vancouver was ranked 9th Adults 25-54 and 5th Men 25-54. The station had ping-ponged between several iterations of “Rock” including Active Rock and Modern Rock. The station was playing a lot of currents most of which were exclusive to the station. The station was very “hard” sounding and too unfamiliar.

 
P1 Media Group began as CFOX’s partner in 2013 conducting Strategic Studies & Focus Groups. P1’s innovative Crowd Source Music Test® and weekly Online Callout were conducted followed by monitors to ensure implementation. CFOX steadily improved its position from 9th-3rd with Adults and is #1 M25-54.

2013: Perceptual Study deployed to find the best strategic position.
2014: A new Rock Format was created and deployed
2014: Logo and website update
2014: Position updated to “The World Famous CFOX”
2015: Focus Groups conducted to gauge how the new Format was being received
2015: Station voice updated in conjunction with continued music evolution
2016: CFOX hits #3 A25-54 and #1 M25-54
2017: CFOX remains #3 A25-54 and #1 M25-54
